The moveable alphabet prepares children for writing, reading, and spelling in a non traditional pencil and paper format. It is especially helpful for children who have a hard time holding pencils and attempting to write, but are already familiar with letter sounds and beginning letter blending.

Children are invited to explore letters at their own pace, analyze words presented in picture or object format, as well as produce words within their own abilities. The moveable alphabet is a staple in our homeschooling world and can also be used to strengthen classical education for those who choose traditional educational systems.

Our moveable alphabet comes with 10 vowels and 5 consonants. We maintained the traditional Montessori colors for the letters in order to stay true to the Montessori teachings that we as a family enjoy, however if you would like different colors, or no colors at all, please shoot us an email.
